Suzanne de Vegh is Gallery Program Office at Japan Society, NY an American nonprofit organization dedicated to bringing the people of Japan and the United States closer together through mutual understanding, appreciation, and cooperation. With more than 12 years experience, Suzanne oversees Gallery-related programming for audiences of all ages including: Pre-K-12th grade, college and university students, families, and adults in conjunction with the Performing Arts, Lectures, Education, Film departments, and Language Center. She is also founder and manager of the Japan Society Docent Corps. Prior to joining Japan Society in 2003, Suzanne created education programs at the Isamu Noguchi Garden Museum, PS1 Institute of Contemporary Art, and the Cooper Hewitt National Design Museum. Suzanne recently earned a MS in Education from Bank Street College’s Leadership in Museum Education Program and holds a BA in Art History form the University of Massachusetts at Amherst. In her spare time Suzanne writes art criticism for international journals including ART PAPERS, Ceramics Art & Perception and Sculpture.
