Leah Golubchick Manager, Middle and High School Programs American Museum of Natural History (YI)

Leah Golubchick is the Manager of Middle and High School Programs at the American Museum of Natural History, where she has worked for over a decade. She served for two years on the Board of NYCMER before stepping down to pursue other projects. She believes NYCMER is a force for good to push for progressive programming that prioritizes museum worker's empowerment and museums as sites of social conscience. She recently completed NASTM's Informal Educators Fellowship, where she researched the application of Trauma Informed practice on Museum Education.

Leah has taught at museums across the city including the Brooklyn Museum, the Children's Museum of Manhattan, the Wyckoff Farmhouse Museum, and in informal science programming in NYC schools. She also was an intern for one very humid summer at the Smithsonian's National Folklife Festival.

She is a graduate of Bank Street Leadership in Museum Education program, speaks Spanish, and loves to travel and try new foods. Follow her on twitter @LeahGolubchick.
