Three people are designated members as part of an institutional membership package. Additional memberships may be included in an institutional package for $25 per person.
Membership benefits are non-transferable.

NYCMER membership is open to representatives from a great diversity of cultural and educational organizations in the New York City metropolitan area and beyond. Membership has representatives from institutions such as, but not limited to, the following: architectural museums and associations, botanical gardens and arboreta, children's museums, craft and folk art museums, environmental education centers, fine arts museums, historical and ethnic museums and societies, natural history museums, parks and cultural affairs agencies, performing arts organizations, technology, science, and media museums, university museums, and zoos and aquariums. Your NYCMER membership gives you access to networking, professional education, and peer interaction at all levels of the field.

- Annual Membership Directory with contact information for approximately 250 museum education colleagues in NYC and the tri-state area

- Monthly Programs focusing on contemporary issues in museum education, offered free-of-charge or at a reduced rate to members
- Peer Group roundtables exploring ideas and issues specific to Early Childhood, Adult Programs, and other audiences and topics suggested by members

- Professional Development Opportunities as NYCMER members receive first preference to present in programs and at the conference, as well as writing for The Interpreter
